Lakeview has been named the “hang gliding capital of the West.” Sugar Hill and Blackcap Mtn. are just 2 of the many mountains that attract extreme athletes to competitions in Lakeview.
Warner Ski Area is 10 miles away. Crystal clear lakes populate the area,daring the watersport enthusiast!

Hart Mountain Refuge:
Hart Mountain National Antelope Refuge is located in southcentral Oregon on a massive fault block ridge that ascends abruptly nearly three-quarters of a mile above the Warner Valley floor in a series of rugged cliffs, steep slopes, and knife-like ridges.
Visitors experience spectacular views of the beautiful Warner Valley Wetlands while ascending the west side entrance road to headquarters. The west face of the mountain is cut by several deep gorges. Hart, Potter, and DeGarmo canyons, the most rugged, extend from the valley floor to the top of the main ridge.
Booth State Scenic Corridor:
Picnic under old-growth Ponderosa Pines, and keep a watchful eye for abundant wildlife–Mule Deer, Coyote and Cougar drop by every once in a while. You’ll find picnic tables and a vault toilet onsite. The mixed forest bordering the highway (through an area the locals call Drew’s Gap) is especially colorful in the fall thanks to stands of Quaking Aspen.
Booth Wayside is a good location to stop to stretch and take a break while driving along Highway 140 between Klamath Falls and Lakeview.
Warner Canyon Ski Area:
Warner Canyon is a ski area in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is located in the Warner Mountains of south central Oregon. At one time the ski area was within the Fremont National Forest, but the land is now owned by Lake County
The patrol started out as the ski safety and winter rescue arm of the non-profit Fremont Highlanders Ski Club. The patrol first became chartered by the National Ski Patrol system during the 1952-53 ski season.
Oregon’s Outback:
Lake County is located in South Central Oregon and borders California’s Modoc County.
Its 8,300 square miles comprise a varied environment from high mountain forests and meadows, sagebrush covered deserts and hills, to natural wetlands and hot springs. There’s something here for everyone.

The Thunder Ranch facility offers a wide array of ranges and target variations. This design is a refinement from Clint’s experience designing firing ranges for individuals, law enforcement, government, and private training facilities throughout his lifetime.
Taking the best aspects of design and function, Clint has designed the Oregon facility to be efficient in use and movement to and from the ranges in order to maximize training time. Thunder Ranch offers dual and multi-use ranges that incorporate static, moving, running, rural, urban, outdoor, indoor, elevated, angled, flat, lit, dark, close and distance targets.

Lake County is located just 10 minutes east of Cleveland and is abundant in Attractions, Beaches, Wineries, B&B’s, Hotels, Restaurants, Golf Courses, the Lake Metroparks System.
To promote Lake County, Ohio through the travel and tourism industry by marketing to associations, motor coach operators and individuals through advertisements, trade shows, and other educational means.

Old Perpetual:
Old Perpetual Geyser: Rest awhile in Lakeview and visit Oregon’s only continuously spouting geyser which shoots a plume of 200 degree water over 60 feet into the air every 90 seconds.
A favorite for everyone in Lake County, whether they be traveling through, or a resident. Take a break and sit in the relaxing (and some say, healing) waters from the geyser which can be found within developed pool known as Hunter’s Hot Springs. Only 1 mile North of Lakeview.
